Job Summary
World Services is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled IT Systems Analyst to support the design, implementation, and optimization of software systems for a federal client. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring system solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze and assess current business systems and processes to identify improvement opportunities.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate system requirements.
· Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, translating functional needs into technical solutions.
· Design, develop, and maintain web interfaces using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
· Develop backend components and services in Python and Java, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
· Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including modeling, querying, performance tuning, and data migration.
· Support automation of reports and workflows to streamline business operations.
· Conduct system impact analyses, document system specifications, and support software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities.
· Document report workflows and conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.
· Assist in evaluating and implementing tools for automated report generation aligned with organizational needs.”
· Conduct research on emerging technologies and best practices to support report automation and modernization.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Minimum 1 year of experience as an IT Systems Analyst or in a comparable technical role.
· Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages.
· Demonstrated experience with web development frameworks such as React or Angular.
· Strong hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and data management.
· Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and report automation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in a related discipline.
· Experience with systems documentation, requirement gathering, and impact analysis.
· Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Location: Washington, DC – Onsite
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $65,000-$70,000
Work Hours: between the hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (EST) with potential on-call support for high-priority incidents. Monday through Friday excluding Federal holidays
