Job Description – Implementation Specialist 1

Brief Overview

The Implementation Specialist 1 works with the Operations Division and Sales team to support new and existing clients with the setup and maintenance of their event technology solutions, primarily using MeetMax software. This entry-level role requires strong aptitude in web design, project management, and impeccable client-facing communication (both written and in-person). The position relies heavily on internal and external coordination and serves as a foundation for developing deep technical and client-management expertise. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, technically curious professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering seamless event-technology experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

Client Implementation/Configuration and Support (70%)

  • Manage the implementation of MeetMax software for multiple concurrent clients.
  • Develop and maintain expert-level understanding of MeetMax and related event technology solutions.
  • Create and maintain detailed event specification documentation for new and existing clients.
  • Implement new event configurations in the software according to client specifications, including custom HTML/CSS/JS where required.
  • Advise clients on software features and technology solutions as new business needs or opportunities arise.
  • Assist the Sales team in developing specifications and scoping new projects.
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends in web design, development, and event-technology best practices.
  • Assist front-line technical support team members with troubleshooting and client inquiries.

Knowledge Management (20%)

  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and expansion of the software Knowledge Base and user-education resources.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clients through proactive, professional communication.

General (10%)

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or as required to meet company and departmental goals and objectives.

Education and Experience

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in a client-facing role; software configuration or SaaS implementation experience strongly preferred.
  • Relevant college degrees are a plus but not required.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Functional understanding of internet infrastructure; strong familiarity with SaaS systems preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; understanding of programming/logic concepts a plus.
  • Graphic and web design skills are a significant advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with web-conferencing solutions (Zoom, Bluejeans, Webex, etc.).
  • Ability to comprehend highly configurable software and translate business problems into technical solutions.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel for onsite events.

Employment Type: Exempt Full-Time

Location: Hybrid: Mostly remote, some travel

Compensation & Benefits

Salary:

  • $60,000 – $70,000 (within market rate for the role)
