ACADEMIC SURGICAL PATHOLOGIST: BREAST PATHOLOGIST

We are excited to announce a full-time academic faculty opportunity in breast surgical pathology within our Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience may be considered for the role of Director of Breast Pathology. We are looking for a non-tenure track Surgical Pathologist at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level to become part of our collaborative and engaging faculty team. This team evaluates a diverse range of breast specimens, handling approximately 1,200 new breast cancer cases annually across seven specialized breast center locations.

Our department boasts a robust AP/CP residency program, 14 accredited subspecialty fellowships, and advanced molecular diagnostic capabilities. Additionally, our close affiliation with the NCI-designated Winship Cancer Institute offers numerous opportunities for clinical and translational research as well as teaching.

The ideal candidate will be board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology and must qualify for medical licensure in Georgia. Preference will be given to those with fellowship training or specialized expertise in breast pathology. An interest in a secondary subspecialty within anatomic pathology, particularly gynecologic pathology or cytopathology, is also advantageous. Compensation and faculty rank will be aligned with the candidate's qualifications.

To apply, please complete the online application by selecting "Apply Now." Additionally, submit your CV along with a list of references to Elizabeth Genega, MD, through Marcie Ansari.
