Position: Commercial Maintenance Technician
Location: Lakewood, CO
Shift: Mon – Friday: 5:00AM to 1:30 PM and or 12:00PM to 8:30PM Night and Weekend availability required
Employment: Contract to Hire
Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experience


Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Commercial Facilities Maintenance Technician to support multiple customer locations within an assigned geographic territory. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working directly with customers to keep commercial facilities safe, functional, and well-maintained.

The technician is provided with a company vehicle, tools, and mobile technology and will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds. This role requires a strong multi-trade background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance according to work orders and service schedules
  • Complete minor plumbing repairs, including toilets, urinals, faucets, valves, drains, and sensor-operated fixtures
  • Perform routine carpentry, drywall repair, patching, and painting to maintain a professional, like-new facility appearance
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs to walls, floors, doors, ceilings, and interior finishes
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance within state licensing requirements, including fixtures, switches, outlets, ballasts, and lighting
  • Support basic HVAC and mechanical maintenance as required
  • Conduct service inspections and asset condition assessments



Technology, Documentation & Customer Service

  • Use tablet and smartphone technology to:
    • Access, update, and close work orders
    • Document completed work with notes and photos
    • Submit service reports, inspection documentation, timesheets, expenses, and purchasing logs
  • Obtain materials and supplies needed to complete assigned tasks
  • Maintain professional, face-to-face customer relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with customers and internal support teams
  • Provide estimates for larger repair projects or additional services when needed


Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all OSHA, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Complete required safety and compliance training and participate in weekly safety meetings
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Required Skills / Education:
Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Trade school, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
  • 2–5 years of general or commercial maintenance experience
  • Experience in one or more trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, or building maintenance
  • Background in commercial facilities or property services strongly preferred



Technical Skills

  • Ability to perform day-to-day repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency response work
  • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
  • Comfortable using mobile devices and basic business software (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to read and follow safety policies, work orders, and maintenance procedures



Licenses & Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Required trade licenses or certifications, as applicable

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests
  • Detail-oriented with pride in quality workmanship
  • Safety-focused and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to travel locally between properties.
