We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization in Clifton Park, New York. This on-site permanent opportunity is well suited for an accounting specialist who wants to expand their scope, contribute to core financial operations, and build a long-term career. The role offers meaningful exposure to reporting, close activities, compliance support, and cross-functional finance initiatives within a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
• Drive monthly and annual closing activities to help ensure accurate and timely financial results.
• Prepare, post, and review journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
• Perform account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Contribute to internal and external financial reporting by compiling data and supporting management analysis.
• Assist with audit preparation, documentation requests, and compliance-related accounting tasks.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting workflows and support ongoing process improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership and business partners on special projects and broader accounting initiatives.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3 to 6 or more years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger accounting.
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and completing reconciliations.
• Strong proficiency in Excel for analysis, reporting, and account support.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms is preferred.
