Our client, an esteemed international law firm, is looking for a Paralegal Manager to join their DC team.

The Paralegal Manager will lead and oversee a high-performing paralegal team in our Washington, D.C. office, serving as the key link between strategic direction and daily operations. This role involves managing workflows, supervising staff, and driving continuous improvement while fostering a collaborative, efficient, and client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of the paralegal team in Washington, D.C.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and team assignments
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and professional development
  • Collaborate with attorneys and leadership on workflow strategy
  • Maintain compliance with firm policies and timekeeping accuracy
  • Oversee paralegal training materials and team-building efforts
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements
  • Monitor budget, manage vendor relations, and ensure cost-effective services
  • Report to senior leadership on operational updates and project status


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of paralegal or equivalent legal support experience
  • 2+ years in a supervisory, coordination, or leadership role
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and/or transactional law support
  • Proficiency in MS Office, legal databases, and workflow systems
  • Experience with budgeting, performance management, and policy enforcement
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed
