Requirements
- Fit, assemble, and align metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions.
- Measure, mark, cut, and prepare materials for fitting and assembly.
- Perform structural repairs and modifications as needed.
- Use grinders, cutting torches, measuring tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, and fit-up before welding.
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe working condition.
Qualifications
- Previous hands-on experience as a Fitter.
- Experience in metal fabrication, fitting, and structural assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools, grinders, and cutting equipment.
- Strong understanding of fitting techniques and material preparation.
- Previous experience in industrial or marine environments preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments.
