Senior Solutions Architect - Infrastructure
Remote - NY / NJ | Regional Customer Travel
We are working with an established technology solutions provider that is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join their growing engineering team. This role partners closely with the sales organization to design and present infrastructure solutions for customers throughout the New York and New Jersey markets.
This is a remote position for someone based in New York or New Jersey who enjoys working directly with customers and is comfortable traveling locally for discovery sessions, technical presentations, and strategic customer engagements. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process, leading solution design across a broad range of infrastructure technologies.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, providing technical leadership from discovery through solution design
- Meet with customers to understand business and technical requirements while serving as a trusted technical advisor
- Design and architect infrastructure solutions across networking, compute, storage, virtualization, hybrid cloud, and data center technologies
- Develop technical solution designs, Bills of Materials (BOMs), scopes of work, and supporting proposals
- Support proof of concepts, technical presentations, and solution demonstrations as needed
- Work closely with engineering, implementation teams, and OEM partners to ensure successful solution delivery and stay current on emerging technologies
What They're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role
- Experience working within a VAR, Systems Integrator, MSP, or OEM environment
- Strong technical background across networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure technologies
- Experience designing multi-vendor infrastructure solutions using technologies such as Cisco, Dell Technologies, HPE, Lenovo, Nutanix, VMware, Microsoft, or similar platforms
- Comfortable leading customer-facing technical discussions and translating business requirements into practical technical solutions
- Strong communication, presentation, and solution design skills
- OEM certifications are highly preferred, with the ability to earn and maintain additional certifications as needed
- Must reside within New Jersey / New York with the ability to travel throughout the region for customer engagements as needed
