Shift Leader
- Responsible for running a smooth shift and delegate to other employees.
- Typically reports to a senior manager or owner.
- Open and/or close the restaurant.
- Work in the Front of the House or Back of the House
- Motivate, train and delegate staff.
- Oversees kitchen functions.
- Backs up all personnel as needed.
- Oversees interior and exterior cleanliness of the facility and ensures that the facility is ready for operations the next day.
The preferred Madness team member will:
- Present a friendly, outgoing, positive, and customer-oriented attitude and service orientation at all times.
- Facilitate teamwork and a helpful approach to getting all tasks and assignments handled in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
- Communicate effectively with customers, service providers or vendors, and other team members at all times. Attentive listening, speaking clearly using appropriate language, terminology, tone, and volume while maintaining a respectful and courteous demeanor is required.
- Present a clean and professional appearance at all times.
- Work well – or best! – under pressure.
- Have the ability to follow recipe instructions; complete cleaning, sanitizing, and other tasks from established checklists; have a thorough understanding of the menu items; and, display a willingness to cross-train in other positions.
