Reports to: Director of Maintenance
Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production machines and facility equipment. They ensure operations run smoothly and safely by performing a variety of skilled mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
Essential Functions:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair production machines and facility equipment.
- Conduct emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
- Perform mechanical duties including machining, welding, and using hand/power tools.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose issues, replace parts, and make adjustments to ensure equipment efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines and plant facilities.
- Maintain plumbing and carpentry systems as needed.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
- Coordinate with external technicians for complex repairs.
- Document maintenance activities and communicate with supervisors on equipment status.

Physical Demands: Requires frequent physical exertion including lifting items over 75 pounds and performing various manual tasks. Vision abilities and depth perception are crucial for equipment maintenance.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, typically working first (1st) shift with weekends included in the regularly scheduled hours.
Travel: No travel is required for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED with completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing maintenance, with proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Experience with PLCs and HVAC preferred.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
- Experience with vacuum furnaces or boilers is advantageous.
