This full-time position is based on the north side of Indianapolis and requires onsite work, typically 3-4 days per week based on business needs.
The starting salary for this role is $52,500 commensurate with experience, plus corporate and individual bonus opportunities.

Job summary
Apex Benefits Groups’ Health Technology Data Analyst assists our Apex Benefits financial and Kinetiq Health clinical teams in meeting extensive client deliverable deadlines. The Analyst provides support across all financial and analytics functions for both organizations. Duties vary providing excellent exposure to key areas of healthcare consulting. The Analyst partners with the Apex client services team to develop health management and cost containment strategies to best meet the unique needs of each client, their business, and employees. The Analyst is a self-starter who loves being in the weeds of data, finding ways to articulate stories and create data-driven solutions for our clients. They build data analytics skills in a business casual environment where big ideas for innovation are encouraged.
Summary of essential job functions/responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day management of third-party data analytics partners
- Derive insights from data and articulate these insights to team members verbally and/or through presentations
- Create error-free exhibits and monthly reports summarizing findings for client delivery
- Appropriately file PHI reports and maintain confidentiality
- Manage monthly financial reporting for clients while conducting full carrier audits
- Assist in the development of custom reports through Tableau
- Audit current reports to ensure data accuracy and question variance in data
- Analyze data at an aggregate level, member level, and book of business level to draw trends
- Communicate with clients to ensure understanding of deliverables, address concerns, and clarify any technical or financial details as needed
- Collaborate on new processes for data collection and reporting efficiencies
- Participate in internal and external meetings as requested, while project managing with vendors
- Work in collaboration with financial analysts, clinical analysts, and account teams to meet the specific needs of each client
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Computer science, Data Informatics, Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or relevant work experience as a Business Analyst preferred
- Proficient with Excel and other MS Office Suite programs
- Proficient with Tableau data extraction, auditing, and dashboard creation
- Exposure to Microsoft Power Applications (Power BI, Power Automate)
- A demonstrated aptitude for learning new software applications, questioning, and exploring data abnormalities
- Exceptional organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; prioritize work independently; manage and meet multiple deadlines; work quickly with minimal supervision; show independent judgement, accuracy, and initiative
- Must be able to read and edit spreadsheets, using formulas when required
- Ability to learn and adapt to change quickly
- Able to demonstrate and always maintain discretion and confidentiality

- Ability to travel to and work in the corporate office located in Indianapolis, Indiana is required, in addition to client locations.
