Leavenworth, KS VA Medical Center: Immediate opening for a contracted stylist who is skilled in all types of haircuts and styles, including face and neck shaves, for men and women.

Job Type:
- Full-Time
- Salon and Hospital Ward Service needed
- Independently owned and operated by you
- Work 2-3 times a week
Hair Stylist Requirements:
- Commitment to providing an excellent guest experience
- A valid barber/cosmetology license
- Able to pass a tier 1 background check
- Possess or obtain liability insurance in the amount of $1 Million
- A comfortable approach to working in an exciting fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality
- The ability to listen to our guests' needs, communicate clearly with our guests to deliver the highest level of service, and have fun while doing it!
- Experienced and new hair stylists are welcome
- Professional, friendly, self-motivated barber
- Ability to run your own business in a professional manner
- Adhere to the COVID-19 Executive Order 14042, if applicable
Two primary forms of identification will be required. You must have at least one:
- U.S. passport or passport card
- Permanent resident card or alien registration receipt card (Form I-551)
- Foreign passport
- Employment authorization document with a photo (Form I-776)
- State-issued, Real ID-compliant driver’s license or ID card
- U.S. military ID card
- U.S. military dependent’s ID card
- PIV card

- A current, valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.
Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is required for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
