Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Family Group: Production Engineering
Job Family: Process Engineering

General Purpose:

Supports engineering services activities such as hardware and software design and development (non-production) within manufacturing operations.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development tasks.

  • Analyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve issues.

  • Collect data, analyze results, and implement procedures.

  • Review project instructions and blueprints to determine test specifications, procedures, and objectives.

  • Design, fabricate, and assemble mechanical components or assemblies for industrial equipment and machinery.

  • Conduct tests under operational conditions to assess design performance and collect development data.

  • Analyze test results and modify equipment as needed to meet specifications.

  • Document test procedures, results, and recommendations for product or process changes.

  • Maintain software, documentation, and equipment to the latest revision or operational specifications.

  • Assist engineers in developing and designing hardware and software for customer product testing.

  • Train technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment.

Specialized Responsibilities (if applicable):

  • Develop and deliver customer presentations.

  • Partner with engineers on third-party developments.

  • Organize documentation such as specifications, schematics, and procedures.

  • Conduct tests per customer requirements and specifications.

Education & Certifications:

  • Associate's degree, military training, or equivalent vocational experience required.

  • Technical high school degree preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, repetitive tasks, chemicals, and electrical risks.

  • Regular handling of small components, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
