Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Adairsville, GA

American Hearts & Home is seeking a reliable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one care and support to a client in both home and community settings.

We are looking for a dependable caregiver who is punctual, patient-centered, and comfortable assisting with daily routines and transportation needs.

Adairsville, GA

⏰ Available Shifts

• Monday – Friday
  • Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • OR both shifts available

Pay Rate

• $14 per hour

• CPR Certification (covered by the agency)

• Mileage Reimbursement (for approved client transportation)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision to the client
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Pick up and drop off the client at a designated meeting point with the day center (REQUIRED)
• Transport the client safely to and from scheduled locations
• Support community engagement and outings
• Maintain client safety, dignity, and independence
• Follow the individualized care plan and documentation requirements
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and care team

Requirements

• Reliable transportation
• Must be willing to transport the client to and from a day center meeting point daily
• Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance
• Strong punctuality (early morning shift required)
• Ability to pass a background check
