Quality Technician | Walker, MI
Salary Range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods against specifications.
- Utilize various precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
- Document inspection results accurately, maintain comprehensive quality records, and generate quality reports.
- Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate actions.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues, participate in root cause analysis, and support corrective actions.
- Support the calibration program for inspection and measurement equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality procedures and work instructions.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CMM programming
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
- Internal auditing experience (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)
- Proficiency with statistical process control (SPC) software beyond data entry
