Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team in the healthcare construction industry. As an Assistant Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, MOBs, and other healthcare-related projects. This is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent in managing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that all work is completed according to the project specifications and design plans.
- Oversee the construction of healthcare facilities, including ground-up construction, renovations, additions, and expansions.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
- Manage the construction schedule, including coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that all materials and equipment are delivered on time and in the correct quantities.
- Monitor the construction site to ensure that all work is being completed safely and in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Assist in managing the budget for the project, including tracking expenses, reviewing invoices, and ensuring that all work is completed within budget.
- Communicate regularly with the Superintendent, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on the progress of the project and to address any issues or concerns that arise.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare construction.
- Experience as an Assistant Superintendent or similar role in healthcare construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, including ground-up construction, renovations, additions, and expansions.
- Experience managing budgets and schedules for construction projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction and healthcare facilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
