Job Title: Shop Mechanic
Job Description
The Shop Mechanic disassembles, repairs, assembles, and verifies the quality of complex mechanical equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, independent judgment, and a consistent focus on safety, quality, and productivity while working on a wide range of industrial and mobile equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly of equipment with complex functions, using independent judgment to ensure proper fit and operation.
- Tear down and rebuild a variety of used industrial equipment from start to finish.
- Learn products through self-study, hands-on experience, and guidance from the shop leadership team.
- Assist in all aspects of the rebuild and refurbishment process, including inspection, repair, and final assembly.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of equipment.
- Diagnose and repair battery-powered, air-cooled, and water-cooled combustion engines, including diesel, gas, and LP systems.
- Safely use, maintain, and report on company tools, equipment, and property, ensuring they remain in good working condition.
Essential Skills
- 1 to 4 years of experience performing mechanical or electrical repairs on equipment such as mobile equipment, appliances, office equipment, electronics, rental equipment, or automotive systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in service, repair, and assembly of equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing mobile equipment is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with hydraulics and electrical systems in industrial or automotive environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
