Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-HirePosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Material Handler / Forklift Operator to join our 3rd shift team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment and will be responsible for supplying production lines, transporting materials, and supporting manufacturing operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Supply production lines with materials and remove finished products.
- Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently.
- Stage, organize, and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory movements and material records.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse and production duties as assigned.
Job DutiesThis position consists of a combination of forklift operation and material handling:
- Approximately 30% of the role involves operating a forklift, putting pallets away, transporting materials, and delivering products to the production floor.
- Approximately 70% of the role involves hands-on material handling, including:
- Filling production hoppers with raw materials.
- Assisting in building finished goods (Material Handlers are responsible for Levels 4 and 5).
- Moving pallets and materials throughout the production and warehouse areas.
- Supporting production teams to ensure efficient workflow and continuous operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Previous material handling experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Ability to work a 12-hour rotating night shift (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
