Morris and Lucius Benoit opened Benoit Machine and Repair Works in Houma, Louisiana in 1943. Over the next 70 years Benoit evolved into one of Louisiana’s largest family-owned oilfield tools provider, servicing the Gulf of America’s Oil and Gas Industry from our current 500,000 sq/ft. of manufacturing space.

More than 200 million feet of our premium threaded tubing, tools and accessories are in downhole environments around the world. Distributing through our sister company Steel Service Oilfield Tubular, Benoit is one of the US’s largest manufacturers of threaded premium tubing.
Position Title: IT Integration Technologist
Location: Ennis, Texas | Houma, Louisiana
Reporting to: Manager of Information Technology
Classification: Exempt
Salary: $55,000 - $75,000
Essential Functions
The IT Integration Technologist plays a pivotal role in streamlining and automating data management within Benoit by automating data collection from equipment and input of that data into ERP systems. They are also responsible for upholding the reliability of existing hardware and software solutions and overseeing any external IT projects or contracts. This position reports directly to the Technology Manager.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develop custom python/shell/ scripts to interface with industrial equipment, software systems, and databases to store, collect and present key performance metrics.
2. Interface equipment such as PLCs, lathes, microcontrollers or microprocessors to gather and store data
3. Perform basic data analytics to extract key performance metrics on productivity
4. Create custom SharePoint, Acumatica, Python, or MS Power Apps dashboards to display data to the company
5. Provide troubleshoot support and further integration of Acumatica ERP into our internal processes.
6. Manipulate data and create dashboards within Acumatica to increase efficiency throughout the company.
7. Manage and customize Microsoft SharePoint to display gathered key performance metrics.
8. Collaborate with teams to gather requirements for software solutions.
9. Create custom SharePoint / Power Bi / Acumatica solutions to streamline document management throughout the company.
10. Provide general IT support, i.e. computer setup, troubleshooting network issues, server management.
11. Maintain the Ubiquity system for security cameras and doors.
12. Ensure the smooth functioning of IT hardware and software within the organization.
13. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
14. Assist in project management related to the technology department.
15. Document IT processes and procedures for others as needed.
16. Must be able to function independently. Which may include upholding self-prescribed timelines and prioritizing goals.
Qualifications:
· High School Graduate or equivalent required – College coursework is a plus
· Experience with assessment, prioritization, research, and resolution of incidents and requests regarding the use of application software products and infrastructure components.
· Self-directed, independent, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
· Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written.
· Strong organizational and computer skills – (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Office 365)
· Ability to multitask in fast-paced team and to work independently with little to no supervision.
· Exposure to production manufacturing operations preferred but not required.
· Plus: Basic scripting ability in languages such as Python, Batch, Shell, c++, Java, c#, C
· Plus: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certifications, ITIL or similar certification
· Plus: Project Management experience
· Able to work in the United States without being sponsored now or in the future.
Working Conditions:
· General work environment – sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
· Noise level is usually low to medium.
· Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
