Position Overview
The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customer sites. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring that all safety procedures are followed during service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure equipment at customer locations
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues in a timely manner
- Repair and replace faulty components as needed
- Provide remote support and guidance to customers when necessary
- Document all service activities and maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding service status and recommendations
- Manage time efficiently to meet service deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures in a field service environment
- Effective time management skills
- Experience with equipment installation and system maintenance
- Willing to travel up to 50%
