Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Required: Every-Other-Weekend Rotation and On-Call Coverage
Starting at $20/hour, with higher rates available based on experience and skills

Frederick Living is looking for a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Team. In this role, you'll help maintain our senior living community by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting building systems while creating a safe, comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or related trade experience who is looking for stable daytime hours and meaningful work.

What You'll Do
- Perform maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, and general building systems
- Complete preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
- Respond to service requests from residents and staff
- Troubleshoot and repair doors, locks, windows, hardware, fixtures, and equipment
- Assist with life-safety inspections, fire alarm testing, fire drills, and emergency preparedness activities
- Support community events through room setup and facility preparation
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and safe work practices
- Assist with snow removal and emergency response activities when required
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas
- Work as part of a team to ensure the community remains safe, comfortable, and well-maintained
Schedule Requirements
- Regular schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Participation in a required every-other-weekend rotation
- Participation in an on-call rotation
- Availability for emergency calls, snow removal, and occasional holiday coverage
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of maintenance, facilities, construction, apartment maintenance, or related experience preferred
- Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or general repairs is a plus
- Experienced candidates with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or multi-trade maintenance backgrounds may qualify for higher starting rates
- Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-service oriented
