The Senior Systems Engineer position is a hands-on engineering role focused on optimizing ICI’s Microsoft infrastructure, including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365 services, and on-premises Active Directory. This position will play a key role in securing, automating, and enhancing collaboration platforms while supporting the adoption and governance of Microsoft Copilot to enable AI-powered productivity across the organization.
Essential functions of this role include:
- Designing, configuring, and maintaining hybrid identity infrastructure using Azure AD and on-premises Active Directory.
- Administering and optimizing Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Implementing and managing conditional access policies, multifactor authentication, and other identity protection measures.
- Performing security hardening across Microsoft services to meet compliance and governance standards.
- Automating administrative tasks and service configurations using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
- Supporting the rollout and governance of Microsoft Copilot, ensuring secure and effective AI integration into daily workflows.
- Collaborating with IT leadership and business stakeholders to align Microsoft service configurations with organizational goals.
- Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and applying updates and patches as needed.
- Maintaining technical documentation, configuration baselines, and operational procedures.
- Staying current with Microsoft roadmap updates, emerging technologies, and best practices in enterprise collaboration and AI enablement.

If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience managing Microsoft infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in Azure AD, on-prem AD, Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint Online.
- Strong understanding of conditional access, identity governance, and Microsoft security frameworks.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation of administrative tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 service optimization and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-powered productivity tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to, qualifications for the position, experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons. Base pay is one component of ICI’s total compensation, which also includes healthcare benefits, generous 401(k) plan, transit subsidy, and paid leave.
