Profile Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Imprivata IT Support Specialist with hands-on experience in supporting the Imprivata environment within a healthcare infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in authentication systems, appliance/server infrastructure, endpoint agent configuration, and policy management across various platforms. This role involves working directly with stakeholders, ensuring high availability and compliance in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Own configuration and lifecycle management of the Imprivata infrastructure across hospital networks.
Manage user authentication peripherals such as badge devices, fingerprint readers, and Imprivata IDs.
Administer and troubleshoot Imprivata OneSign (SSO), EPCS MFA workflows, and Identity Governance.
Configure and maintain SSO scripts and credential store settings across platforms.
Support agent deployment across Windows, thin clients, and virtual environments.
Integrate with Active Directory, Group Policy, and certificate-based authentication systems.
Lead root cause analysis and escalate issues with vendors as needed.
Collaborate with engineering to design scalable, secure systems.
Document SOPs, RCA, deployment workflows, and knowledge bases for L2 teams.
Create and maintain capacity, usage, and security reports.
Required Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Imprivata Products (OneSign, ID Governance, etc.)
Authentication
SSO (especially for Epic, Cerner, Meditech)
Identity
Access Management (IAM), including RBAC and provisioning.
Troubleshooting appliance/server issues and endpoint integration.
Windows Server/Desktop configuration and support.
Familiarity with Citrix, VMware VDI, and scripting via PowerShell.
Desired Skills:
Experience with HL7, FHIR, integration engines.
Use of diagnostic/logging tools.
Exposure to ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.

Qualifications:
Bachelors in computer science, IT, or related field (masters preferred).
5+ years in healthcare IT, preferably with successful Imprivata deployments.
Certifications: ITIL, CompTIA A+/Security+, Microsoft, etc.
Additional Role Enhancements Based on Industry Benchmarks:
Deep understanding of VDI integrations (Citrix, VMware Horizon) including Imprivata integrations.
Familiarity with badge-tap and mobile-based multifactor authentication (e.g., Ground Control).
Experience with regulatory compliance: HIPAA, DEA, FDA, and The Joint Commission (TJC) guidelines.
Understanding of PAM platforms (e.g., Secure Link, Xton Tech) and certificate lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience with audit logging, security analytics, and certificate renewal automation.
Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.
Advanced experience with PowerShell scripting and automation tools for system configuration.
