HiFyve is hiring a Sr. Engineering Manager in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry in Minneapolis, MN!
Salary: $140,000–$160,000/year + 15% bonus
Shift: Days | Monday–Friday (~7:00 AM–3:30 PM) + off-hours support as needed
Location: Minneapolis, MN

About the Role
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance functions within a 24/7 manufacturing facility. The Sr. Engineering Manager will lead teams, drive reliability, and partner with plant leadership to improve safety, performance, and operational efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead all engineering and maintenance operations across a 24/7 production facility
- Manage and develop maintenance leadership and technical teams
- Oversee and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime
- Utilize CMMS to optimize asset reliability and maintenance planning
- Partner with plant and corporate leadership on continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify, prioritize, and lead capital improvement (CAPEX) projects
- Manage department budgets and ensure cost-effective resource allocation
- Perform equipment lifecycle and replacement analysis to support operational decisions
- Source and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Support union environment activities as needed
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, safety, and overall plant performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred
- 8+ years of engineering or maintenance experience in food manufacturing
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams
- Experience managing budgets and capital projects
- Strong knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance and asset reliability
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred)
- Knowledge of 480V 3-phase motor control systems
- Ammonia refrigeration experience (Level 2 certification or willingness to obtain)
- Boiler license (1B or higher) or willingness to obtain
- Wastewater treatment and environmental compliance experience
- Experience in union manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD experience a plus
Additional Requirements
- Ability to support off-shift, weekend, and project-based work as needed
- Travel up to 10% to support other facilities
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
