Job DescriptionRegistered Dental AssistantFull-time
JOB DESCRIPTION:We are looking for a competent lead dental assistant who will make the dentist’s office more efficient and pleasant for patients. Patient hours are Monday through Thursday. We reserve two Fridays a month for clinical days to order, train, maintenance, and/or any make up days.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Completing X-rays when needed for Hygiene and Doctor schedulesPrepare for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfortSelect and set up instruments, equipment and material neededSterilize instruments according to regulationsAssist the dentist through 4-handed dentistryUndertake lab tasks as instructedProvide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructionsKeep the dental room clean and well-stockedSchedule appointmentsMaintain accurate patient recordsMaintaining supply budgetEquipment maintenance/scheduling
CE training provided
SKILLS:Proven experience as dental assistantKnowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methodsUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsDentrix knowledgeGood computer skillsExcellent communication and people skillsAttention to detailWell-organized and reliableProficient at taking digital X-raysAdditional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)Experience with implants, endo, Invisalign, and scanning preferred
