Job Description

Job DescriptionMicroHealth is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator. The Senior Systems Administrator will lead the contract supporting day-to-day operations and maintenance for the Government IT infrastructure, which includes customized government off-the-shelf (COTS) applications, security applications and supporting infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Install new software releases, system upgrades, patches, and resolve software-related problems
  • Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures
  • Monitor system configurations to ensure data integrity
  • Recommend and help define policies and protocols for efficient operations and improved system integrity
  • Develop and maintain technical documents, including internal policies, procedures, and build instructions
  • Create and maintain scripts to automate work processes for improved efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
  • Collaborate with IT team members to implement technology solutions
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration or related area
  • Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within systems administration
  • Experience with system backup and recovery procedures
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Creativity and latitude in approaching technical challenges

Required Certifications:

  • AWS Solution Architect Associate
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
  • AWS Solution Architect Professional
  • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee may lift or move objects up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
