A health system is seeking an internal medicine physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Onancock, VA.
Start date is as soon as credentialed, with assignment lengths of 6 months or 1 year and a credentialing timeframe of 60-90 days. The schedule is part-time with flexible options, including 2-3 days per week, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, or 1 week on/1 week off. Facility hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with no call required. The provider will work independently with a dedicated MA and front desk staff, seeing 15-16 patients per day, ages 18+. Many patients may have cardiac conditions but will only be seen for primary care needs. Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine, have a VA license, and a DEA. Epic EMR experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is a team player, comfortable working with underserved populations, and a strong cultural fit.
