The Janitorial Worker is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks in patient rooms, public spaces, and common areas within the hospital. This role plays a crucial part in reducing infection risk and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in patient rooms, public spaces, and common areas using established procedures.
  • Clean and prepare inpatient rooms for new admissions.
  • Change linens, clean, mop, and arrange furniture in rooms as needed.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment, ensuring it is clean and functional, and report any maintenance needs to a supervisor.
  • Contribute to infection prevention by maintaining a clean and sanitary environment throughout the hospital.

Essential Skills

  • Cleaning and janitorial skills.
  • Sweeping and mopping expertise.
  • Preferred: 6 months of experience cleaning in a hospital setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to interact with customers face-to-face.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
