Job Title: Information Technology Systems Supervisor

Reports To: Vice President

Location: Corporate

Employment Status: Full - Time

FLSA Status: Exempt


This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:00PM, Saturday as needed


Job Summary:

An employee in this class is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the information technology division of Parrish Tire Company. The Information Technology Systems Supervisor will be ensuring systems run smoothly and effectively, lines are secure and the operational needs are met.


Essential Functions and Tasks:

  • Supervise and manage staff, including training, coaching, mentoring and hiring and terminating
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating all IT operations within the organization. This includes networks, systems, servers, cloud systems, helpdesk teams, and security protocols. Ensuring all operations are running smoothing and effectively.
  • Working alongside onsite Programmers to develop appropriate workplace systems, ensuring users and assisted and projects are executed timely.
  • Develop and implement information technology best practices, systems procedures, standard operating procedures
  • Oversee system upgrades, maintenance and develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Ensure data security, network access controls, and backup systems are running efficiently and effectively. Notifying upper management of any breech of security
  • Manage IT budgets, IT vendor relationships, procurement of hardware and software, as needed
  • Administration of corporate phone system
  • Any other duties assigned by the store manager

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field is required
  • Bachelor degree in Information Technology is preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional IT experience is required
  • Proven experience in supervising IT infrastructure and networking systems and services
  • Strong background in hardware, software, network administration, security
  • Strong background in IT project management overseeing systems integration, timelines and budgets

Required Physical Abilities:

Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:

  • Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly.
  • Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
  • Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
  • Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
  • Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.


Work Environment:

This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces. This position would be responsible for supporting approximately 22 locations (including corporate, wholesale, retail and commercial). Travel may be required to various sites to assist with outages, hardware replacements, onsite support needs, etc. Annual travel is expected, however should not exceed 15%. Overnight travel could take place to out of state locations.
