About the Role

\n

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing / Buyer to support day-to-day procurement operations for an established industrial organization in Mooresville, NC. This individual will be responsible for creating and managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and helping ensure materials and supplies are ordered accurately and delivered on time.

This is a 3–4 month contract opportunity and is ideal for someone with hands-on purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or order management experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, equipment, miscellaneous purchases, and blanket orders.
  • \n

  • Ensure vendor, material, quantity, pricing, and delivery information is accurate.
  • \n

  • Process goods receipts within the ERP system and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • \n

  • Review purchase orders and material information and resolve discrepancies involving quantities, materials, or receipts.
  • \n

  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • \n

  • Follow up with vendors regarding outstanding orders, delivery dates, and order details.
  • \n

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Plant Operations, Warehouse/Receiving, Finance/AP, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate purchasing, procurement, and inventory data.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, order management, or a related area preferred.
  • \n

  • College diploma, Associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • \n

  • Experience working with ERP systems; Chempax experience is beneficial but not required.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • \n

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • \n

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • \n
