Parts Manager – Automotive
Lead and manage the parts counter team to support both external and internal customers while maximizing customer satisfaction and gross profit. Parts manager is also responsible for execution of process discipline required to maintain an optimized inventory.
Dealership located in Stanton, TX needs someone with at least 5 years of experience to lead and manage the parts counter team to support both external and internal customers while maximizing customer satisfaction and gross profit. Parts manager is also responsible for execution of process discipline required to maintain an optimized inventory.
Job Responsibilities
- Profitable growth through increased counter revenue
- Foster and maintain customer-focused environment through training, leadership and modeling of exceptional customer service. This focus to include both external and internal customers
- Management of Revenue, Gross Margin Dollars, Overtime and Freight Recovery
- Leadership, management and training on customer calls, both in-person and telephone
- Hire, train, schedule and develop counter staff
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching
- Manage counter behaviors including utilization of quote tracker, offering aftermarket parts, offering bulk discounts, offering featured products, etc.
- Track and manage results for inventory related KPI's as defined by management (Base Camp)
- Provide oversight and supervision of invoices coded by their department
- Processing and tracking vendor core returns and credits and schedule reconciliation
- Schedule reconciliation for DIA returns and local vendor returns
- Enforcement of margin discipline. Escalate pricing concerns as needed
- Resolve escalated customer issues
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies
- Retail Merchandising Area
Education and/or Experience
High School diploma and five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Texas Driver's License (must be insurable)
