Commercial Litigation Attorney

Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Handle disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, partnership/shareholder disputes, and fiduciary claims
- Manage cases from initial pleadings through trial or settlement
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs
- Conduct and defend depositions, including fact and expert witnesses
- Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
- Develop litigation strategies and prepare cases for trial
- Conduct legal research and provide strategic counsel to clients
- Collaborate with internal teams and maintain strong client relationships

Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active New York (NY) Bar license (required)
3–8+ years of commercial litigation experience
Strong knowledge of New York civil procedure and federal litigation processes
Experience handling motions, depositions, and court appearances
Trial experience is a plus

- Experience handling complex, high-value commercial disputes
- Familiarity with eDiscovery tools and litigation technology
- Background in energy, oil & gas, or construction litigation
- Strong negotiation and case strategy development skills
