Job Description

The Engineering Technician II provides flexible, hands-on support to the hardware engineering team, leveraging a range of evolving development tools and processes to assemble, test, and troubleshoot company products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and rework prototype assemblies, sub-assemblies, and printed circuit board assemblies using development-level drawings, instructions, and informal and verbal directions
  • Assemble and test cables and harnesses, with minimal guidance and documentation
  • Design and build various test fixtures, jigs, etc.
  • Perform troubleshooting on boards using common lab tools such as DVMs and oscilloscopes
  • Execute Design Validation Test plans, taking measurements and recording information
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Vocational training or AA Degree in Electronics
  • 3+ years of experience working in a similar role
  • Efficient PCB soldering skills, including fine pitch SMT using lead-free processes
  • Capable of building cables and other electromechanical assemblies with minimal to no documentation
  • Broad knowledge of electronic and electromechanical component
  • Skilled in using lab instruments
  • Literate in MS Office and Excel
  • Experience with JIRA and Product Lifecycle Management Tools

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $25 to $29 per hour however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
