Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will support the General Counsel and Legal Department by handling a variety of administrative and substantive responsibilities across global and domestic operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse legal matters, including corporate governance, contract management, and compliance.

Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance to the Legal Department in transactional areas such as contract administration, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, labor law, and intellectual property.
• Draft, review, and process a range of agreements, including confidentiality agreements, license agreements, consulting agreements, and purchase orders.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws by supporting legal and regulatory adherence efforts.
• Maintain and update a company-wide database of contracts, sales representatives, and related documentation.
• Assist with corporate training and certification initiatives focused on governance and compliance.
• Collaborate with business units to provide support for contractual matters and sales proposals.
• Organize and manage a centralized database for contracts and templates, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Conduct legal research, due diligence, and fact verification to support various projects and initiatives.
• Prepare materials for Board presentations, compliance reports, and other confidential projects.
• Support executive management on special assignments and handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality.• A paralegal certification is preferred but not required.
• At least 2 years of experience in contract administration is essential.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail while managing multiple and potentially conflicting requirements.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance relevant to corporate and legal operations.
• Commitment to ethical behavior and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
