Job Title: Repair Technician – Janitorial Equipment
Location: Lower Huron Company of Wayne, MI

We are currently seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Repair Technician to join our service team. Position Overview:
The Repair Technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of janitorial equipment—including vacuums, walk-behind scrubbers, floor machines, burnishers, and similar equipment—both in our shop and on customer sites during service calls. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair janitorial and floor-care equipment (vacuums, walk-behinds, scrubbers, etc.)
- Perform electrical diagnostics using a multimeter
- Complete scheduled maintenance and safety checks on equipment
- Document all repairs, parts used, and service notes thoroughly
- Communicate professionally with customers during on-site service appointments
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, service van, and tools
- Follow company procedures and safety standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Mechanical skills. Experience with small equipment repair is a plus.
- Basic electrical knowledge and the ability to use a multimeter
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet as needed
- Previous experience repairing janitorial/floor equipment is a plus, but not required for the right candidate
