Job Title: Civil Transportation Engineer
Job Description
This role involves managing and designing civil engineering projects focused on transportation infrastructure. The role offers a foundational opportunity in a new office location with an established company!
This position is paying $100k+
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders – Work with contractors, officials, and suppliers to ensure project success.
- Manage all aspects of transportation projects, including scope, budgeting, staffing, and production.
- Lead and mentor project teams while developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Guide clients in securing funding and navigating agency policies for transportation projects.
- Prepare and oversee project proposals, contract negotiations, and client communications.
- Identify future opportunities and develop strategies to pursue those opportunities.
- Design and develop transportation solutions using cutting-edge design standards.
- Conduct research and produce reports, feasibility studies, and technical documentation
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5+ years in transportation infrastructure design with 3+ years managing KYTC projects, either in Design Engineering or Construction Inspection/Engineering.
- Understanding of KYTC standards and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret KYTC construction plans.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with MicroStation and Bentley OpenRoads.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, agencies, and internal team.
- A passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions with attention to detail.
Work Environment
The office will be located between Covington and Lexington with hybrid and remote work flexibility. Initially, remote work is available for up to two days per week once independent work capabilities are demonstrated. The role involves a mix of office-based tasks and fieldwork, providing a balanced work environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Covington, KY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
