Companion – 1:1 Resident Support

Mountainview Healthcare Center is seeking caring and reliable Companions to provide dedicated 1:1 support for residents. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents who require extra supervision and companionship.

Position Overview:
The Companion is responsible for providing non-clinical support to residents on a 1:1 basis. This position is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, attentive, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for others.

Responsibilities:

• Provide constant 1:1 supervision for assigned resident(s)

• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support

• Ensure resident safety by monitoring activities and reporting concerns

• Assist with non-clinical daily needs (comfort measures, reminders, etc.)

• Escort residents to activities, meals, or appointments within the facility

• Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous experience in caregiving, hospitality, childcare, or related field a plus

• Strong observation and communication skills

• Patient, compassionate, and reliable

• Ability to work as part of a healthcare team
