CPUS specializes in utility vegetation management (UVM) program design & auditing, management of emergencies such as wildfires, hurricanes, & ice storms, providing onsite contract management of UVM programs, developing new integrated vegetation management programs (IVM) for utilities & municipalities, Registered Professional Forester services, environmental compliance inspections, and much more!
We are looking for experienced Utility Foresters - Vegetation Management Specialiststo aid Tree Crews in execution of Vegetation management program work, in all manners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review, assess and inventory a data set of trees and locations based on a maps provided by the customer.
- Resolving day-of customer escalations.
- Aid tree crews in “unable to locate” and “add tree/change prescription” problems.
- Assisting tree crews with escalations and refusals.
- Priority Tree and Tree Mortality deadline management.
- Scouting ahead and “trueing up” veg point data when aged or inaccurate at the time of work.
- Safety and Quality inspections for Tree Crews.
- Assisting in and to participate and help implement site-specific ERTC’s.
- Managing bundling effort and roll over work.
- Schedule and Pace for unit production.
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications, Certifications and Skills
- ISA Arborist
- TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification)
- Be able to work with hand held tablet mobile devices. Must be physically able to hike off road in rough terrain to perform data capture and work responsibilities.
- Industry experience with Pre-Inspection and/or Tree Crew, PG&E Veg Mgt Program, or other Utility Veg Mgt Program desired.
- DMS experience
- Understanding of current DIP and other vegetation management programs, scope of work and procedures.
- Expertise with accessing & understanding data in VMD/PMD, OneVM, and Field Maps (TRI/EVM, EA, Wood Management, Storm, etc.)

The salary range for this position is provided in good faith and is subject to variation based on geographic location, candidate experience, and market conditions. Final compensation will be determined after a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications and alignment with the role.
