Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Tele
Location: Garfield Heights, OH 44125
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Schedule: 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week; 4x12s, 3x12s, or 2x12s available
Local Candidates: Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted
Pay Rate:
Local: $55–$61/hr
Traveler: $55–$61/hr
Required Qualifications:
- Active Ohio RN license or valid Compact State RN license — Required
- Minimum 12 months of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience — Required
- AHA BLS certification — Required
- AHA ACLS certification — Required
- NIHSS certification required prior to start
- One recent specialty reference from a Manager, ANM, Supervisor, Director, or Charge RN required for submission
- Must successfully complete ECG Rhythm Recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation
- Acceptable scores required on both orientation assessments
- Must meet all facility submission and competency requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg Tele patients
- Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in clinical condition
- Monitor cardiac and ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, ancillary staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Follow hospital policies, patient-safety standards, infection-control procedures, and clinical protocols
- Maintain required certifications and complete facility orientation and competency assessments
