Job DescriptionLHH is looking for a Legal Assistant in Pittsburgh for a busy and fast-paced law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join its team. This is an onsite opportunity ideal for a junior-level legal assistant who has litigation experience and is eager to grow within a collaborative law firm environment. Salary: $50,000 - $70,000
Position Overview
The firm is looking for a detail-oriented professional who understands court procedures, is comfortable with e-filing, and can effectively support attorneys in active litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and file legal documents in state and/or federal courts
- Manage electronic filing (e-filing) and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
- Maintain and organize case files (electronic and physical)
- Calendar court dates, deadlines, and important case milestones
- Assist with deposition, mediation, and trial preparation
- Coordinate communication between attorneys, clients, and court personnel
- Provide general administrative and litigation support as needed
Qualifications
- Prior litigation experience required
- Familiarity with e-filing systems and court procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
