Overview
A well known L&E firm is seeking an associate with 3–5 years of employment litigation and class action experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong defense-side foundation and the ability to manage matters with increasing independence while collaborating closely with a team committed to outstanding client service.
What You’ll Do
Successful candidates will be comfortable handling a range of employment litigation tasks, including:
- Defending employers in disputes involving discrimination, wrongful termination, restrictive covenants, and wage & hour matters
- Drafting and managing discovery (written discovery, meet-and-confers, etc.)
- Preparing initial pleadings and responsive filings
- Drafting dispositive motions and other substantive briefing with persuasive advocacy
- Preparing agency position statements
- (Plus) Advising clients on workplace policies and day-to-day employment law issues
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of employment litigation experience, including class action exposure
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the Washington State Bar
