Create your best self as a Resident Assistant
As a Resident Assistant, you will provide essential daily support, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Whether assisting with personal care, encouraging engagement, or simply being a reassuring presence, you will play a key role in enhancing their quality of life.
As a Resident Assistant, you will:
- Support Daily Living Activities – Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care, toileting, and mobility to promote independence and well-being.
- Encourage Engagement – Foster social, recreational, and wellness participation, helping residents stay active and connected.
- Ensure a Clean and Comfortable Environment – Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and organization to create a welcoming and safe home.
- Monitor Resident Well-Being – Observe and report any changes in residents’ health, behavior, or emotional state to the nursing team.
- Welcome and Support New Residents – Help new residents transition smoothly into their home, offering guidance and reassurance.
- Other Duties as Assigned – The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.
This job also requires:
- Previous experience as a caregiver, personal care assistant, or similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong collaboration and clear communication with residents, families, and team members.
- Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with staff, residents, and visitors.
- Ability to pass state mandated background check.
