Location

  • On-site in Washington, DC (downtown) with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule

Note

  • This role requires 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience and hands-on involvement supporting complex litigation through discovery and trial or arbitration preparation

Job Description

  • Manage litigation matters from intake through discovery, motions, and trial or arbitration preparation
  • Draft, proof, and finalize pleadings, discovery responses, and pre-trial materials
  • Coordinate document organization, e-discovery workflows, and case file management across systems
  • Support depositions, hearings, and trial prep by organizing exhibits, tracking deadlines, and coordinating logistics
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support attorneys and case strategy
  • Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel under attorney supervision
  • Mentor and oversee a junior paralegal by delegating tasks and quality-checking deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required; paralegal certificate preferred
  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience (specialized or complex litigation strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal litigation procedures and court rules
  • Proficiency with Westlaw, PACER, and e-discovery or case management tools
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure with strong writing skills
