Function:
The Switchgear Quotation Specialist will work with their branch to learn the product lines and pricing structure to enhance the accuracy and turnaround time in order to produce quotations that yield profitable sales. Salary will range from $36.00 or more, based on experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Quoting of electrical switchgear and components (Breakers, disconnects etc.).
- Build a strategy with the sales team and vendors to maximize department profitability.
- Communicate with customers and coworkers about quoting projects.
- Assist with negotiating pricing with suppliers.
- Develop Bill of Material using manufactures' software based on plans and specifications provided by the customer and for the development of new accounts for the department by working with departments' vendor partners.
- Identify potential projects for bid and compiles list of material requirements including supplies, lighting switchgear, and other distribution apparatuses.
- Process information for customers and vendors in a timely manner.
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers, vendors, regional branches and the outside sales team.
- All other tasks as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Solar Eclipse software a plus.
- Some experience in switchgear pricing for electrical construction projects.
- Familiar with Eaton’s bid Manager Quoting Program & GE Empower Quoting Program a plus.
- Experience in electrical construction preferred – quotation, purchasing or vendor sales.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Good negotiating skill.
- Knowledge of electrical components.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Previous experience with Microsoft office suite, Office 365 and SharePoint.
- College Degree preferred.
