Immersive Concepts is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Mid-Level AV Technician to join our team at a government facility in the NCR. The ideal candidate will assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audiovisual systems in a live environment. This role requires a solid technical background, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Setup:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and testing of AV equipment including projectors, sound systems, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
- Ensure proper setup and functionality of AV systems according to specifications and client requirements.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on AV equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to AV systems, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime.
- Support & Training:
- Provide on-site technical support for live events, meetings, and presentations.
- Assist in training end-users on the operation of AV equipment and systems.
- Help create and maintain user guides and documentation for AV systems.
- Project Assistance:
- Support senior technicians and project managers in the coordination of AV projects.
- Conduct site surveys and assist in preparing project plans and proposals.
- Compliance & Security:
- Follow government regulations and security protocols related to AV systems and installations.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in AV technology and system integration, preferably in a government or corporate setting.
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in the installation and operation of AV systems, including Crestron, Extron, Biamp, and similar technologies.
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure and AV over IP.
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Cisco Webex.
- Soft Skills:
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.
