Our client seeks an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and enhance a mature Azure environment with a strong security mindset. The role focuses on hands-on Azure services, cost optimization, and operational excellence, supporting continued hardening of cloud security controls. The hire will ensure continuity of ongoing initiatives and collaborate across IT to improve reliability, performance, and governance.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000/ yr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Support, maintain, and improve an existing 100% Microsoft Azure environment.
  • Administer and optimize Azure Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, File Shares, and Azure Backup.
  • Execute cost optimization and environment management across subscriptions and resources.
  • Implement and enhance security controls, including MFA, WAF, PIM, Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Manage access with hard and soft token methods and enforce governance policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver stable, secure, and scalable cloud operations.
  • Triage and resolve incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and drive preventive improvements.
  • Contribute to documentation, standards, and operational best practices.


Experience Requirements:

  • Hands-on Azure infrastructure experience with an Azure-first background.
  • Proficiency with Azure Virtual Machines, Blob Storage, File Shares, and Azure Backup.
  • Experience supporting security measures such as Azure MFA, Cisco MFA, WAF, PIM, Intune, and Autopilot.
  • Demonstrated cost optimization and environment management in Azure.
  • Ability to maintain and mature an existing cloud environment rather than lead a net-new migration.
  • Approximately 5 to 7 years of total experience in relevant infrastructure roles.
  • Effective collaboration and communication across IT teams.
