Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within scope, and on budget while maintaining high standards of quality and team performance.

The Electrical Project Manager works closely with operations, estimating, and sales teams and requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage both field and office functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical project teams including Project Managers, Project Coordinators/Engineers, Foremen, Lead Electricians, and field crews
  • Manage all electrical construction activities from project kickoff through closeout
  • Optimize manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient project execution
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Review and interpret construction documents, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
  • Enforce company quality control programs, safety policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project staff toward successful project outcomes
  • Administer performance management and disciplinary actions in coordination with Human Resources
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with executives, project teams, clients, and field personnel
  • Utilize construction technology and software to manage schedules, budgets, reporting, and documentation
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, including short-term look-ahead planning
  • Track daily progress, compare planned vs. actual performance, and implement corrective actions
  • Prepare and present project reports to leadership, including:
    • Cost and margin forecasts
    • Schedule status and completion timelines
    • Risk identification and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate with other trade project managers to support overall project success
  • Review material usage to minimize waste and inefficiencies
  • Support training and development of project and field personnel
  • Participate in interviewing and hiring efforts as needed
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and promote a culture of safety
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Foreman or Electrical Project Manager
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented construction environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, budgets, and field operations
  • Valid State Master Electrician License (or ability to obtain)


Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Degree in Construction Management or a related field


Work Schedule

  • Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Overtime as required based on project needs


Compensation & Benefits

  • $80,000 – $100,000+, depending on qualifications and experience
