Bemana is recruiting a Power/HVAC Technician in the Amarillo, TXarea for a world-renowned equipment rental company. Technicians will service, repair, and commission diesel generators and related power equipment.
Ideal candidates have a strong diesel mechanic background, some electrical knowledge, familiarity with power generation and generator systems, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment independently in the field. HVAC experience is a plus.
Position Offers

Up to $35/hr depending on experience. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Responsibilities
-
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, generators, and related equipment.

Hook up, service, repair, and commission generator systems and equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel systems.

Perform load bank testing and work around single-phase and three-phase electrical power systems.

Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment documentation to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Perform PM service and routine maintenance on generator units.

Travel to customer sites to perform field service, repairs, and commissioning.
Requirements

3+ years of diesel mechanic/technician experience preferred, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose diesel engine issues independently.

Generator engine repair, hookup, commissioning, or field service experience preferred.

Familiarity with electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase power.

Cummins or Generac certification is a plus.

HVAC experience is a plus.

Ability to work independently in the field and travel to customer locations as needed.
