We are looking for an experienced Attorney/Lawyer to join a remote legal team. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting organizational growth and will act as the second-in-command within the legal department. The position offers a dynamic and collaborative work environment, with opportunities to handle diverse legal matters, including corporate law, employment law, and commercial contracts.


Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal counsel on corporate, employment, and commercial contract matters.

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts using tools such as Lexion to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to address legal issues arising from organizational growth.

• Oversee compliance with government contracts, Medicaid regulations, and employment laws.

• Support legal needs related to wage and hour laws, non-exempt employee populations, and self-direction programs.

• Assist in navigating legal complexities in healthcare and hospital settings.

• Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals, including directors and analysts, to ensure efficient workflow.

• Address legal requirements associated with new business initiatives and contracts.

• Ensure adherence to applicable state and federal laws in all legal processes.

• Participate in the onboarding and training process through platforms such as Workday.

• A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in legal practice, with a focus on corporate law and employment law.
• Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid regulations and government contracting.
• Experience working with non-exempt populations and wage and hour compliance.
• Familiarity with legal issues in healthcare and hospital environments.
• Proficiency in contract management systems, such as Lexion.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones and adapt to organizational needs.
