Earning Potential: $78,000 – $110,000+ annually (based on experience) including Bonuses

Position Overview

Promotive is hiring an experienced Service Manager for a fast-growing, customer-focused repair shop in St. Louis Park, MN!
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee daily operations, guide a skilled service team, and directly influence shop performance. You'll manage workflow, coach advisors and techs, improve KPIs, and ensure an excellent customer experience — all in a stable, Monday–Friday environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise and support service advisors, technicians, and shop support staff

  • Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and lead training efforts

  • Foster a positive, accountable team culture

  • Resolve internal conflicts and promote a productive work environment

Customer Satisfaction

  • Deliver an exceptional service experience for all customers

  • Manage escalated concerns and resolve service issues professionally

  • Monitor feedback and implement improvements to processes

Operational Oversight

  • Coordinate workflow and ensure timely repair and maintenance

  • Monitor shop efficiency, technician productivity, and quality control

  • Support advisors with repair estimates and job dispatching

Financial & KPI Management

  • Track key performance metrics: hours sold, GP%, retention, etc.

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase profit per RO

  • Ensure targets are met through coaching, upselling, and reducing comebacks

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain a clean, OSHA-compliant, and safety-conscious work environment

  • Ensure environmental and industry regulations are followed

Parts & Vendor Coordination

  • Collaborate with Parts Manager to maintain optimal inventory

  • Approve part orders and manage supplier relationships

  • Ensure parts availability supports timely job completion

Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in an automotive service or repair setting

  • In-depth technical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair processes

  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • KPI-driven mindset with financial and analytical acumen

  • High level of accountability and organizational skills

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual Earning Potential: $78,000 to $110,000+ annually (depending on experience and earned bonuses)

  • Weekly Base Pay ($1,500.00) PLUS Monthly Performance (Sales / GP) Bonuses
